A family gathering to celebrate Thanksgiving and birthdays on the Big Island was an awesome adventure. Brendan and Meghan came from the east, Lauren, Brian and the boys came from the north and moi was present on site. We hit the beaches from Kua Bay to Puna lu a's turtles. Saw the animals at the Panaewa Zoo on our trip to Hilo. And lunch at the Fish Hopper.

Grandpa turned 70 at the Kona Brewery, Turkey day was the luau at the Marriott and Cooper celebrated 5, before having to leave paradise.

John and Susie came in December for a whirlwind tour of the Big Island. From snorkeling at Two Step to Hawi with stops at Lapakahi and Wiamea, and yes at the Puna lua Bakery. A drive down Chain of Craters and a quiet moment at the Painted Church. Spectated at the Kona Christmas Parade, tons of fun.

Then a trip to the south end for a visit to Pahoa and the Wednesday Night Market at Kalapana. Then Gina and Lanikila took me on a trip over the lava. Crossed over the Four Corners and out to the Kumukahi Light House and new black sand beaches, newly created land. Then over to Pohoiki and the new boat ramp beach. Incredible sights including a peek at Big Daddy, Fissure 8 and a run thru Keyhole. Another great island tour from Gina! Mahalo again.

Back to Kona for sunsets and a whale tails from the pool, turtles and plenty of suntan rollover time at the Sea Village.
